Marketing is now affordable for small businesses
due largely to the Internet and technology. Those of us who are owners and operators of small businesses can
appreciate the fact that nowadays, we don't have to use the unaffordable advertising methods of yesterday.
In this e-book, I discuss online marketing tools, including their descriptions and some examples of the tools,
and how you can use them for advertising and marketing your business. Most importantly, they are affordable,
costing little to no money.
Article Marketing:
Article marketing is an affordable method of advertising and marketing your business. All it cost is your time.
If you don't have time to submit your articles to article banks, for example, Ezines, outsource this task to your
virtual assistant. Once your articles are published, they are available for publishers, who may want to use
your articles on their websites or in their e-newsletters. In turn, this will give you more exposure, while
at the same time, give you and your business credibility.
E-Mail Marketing:
E-mail marketing is also an affordable online marketing strategy. Some of the e-mail marketing service providers
are Aweber, Constant Contact, and IContact (for more e-mail marketing service providers and the links to their
sites, see the Resources section). With e-mail marketing services, you are able to design affordable,
professional e-newsletters to be used for marketing campaigns. The campaigns will be sent via e-mail to your
contacts' e-mail addresses. E-mail addresses are required in order to use e-mail marketing campaigns as a
marketing strategy.
To build your contacts list, you will need to place a signup box on your website, where your website visitors can
sign up for your e-newsletters. Your e-mail marketing service provider supplies you with the necessary html code
to design a signup box on your site. You can also place a signup box on your member's pages that you create in
social networking forums. More about social networking forums will be discussed shortly.
It is very important to have an extensive contacts list for your e-mail marketing strategy. If you are a member of
your local chamber of commerce and attend their networking events, you probably will collect a lot of business
cards. This is a great resource for extending your contacts list.
